On Saturday, November 14th, the 3rd Annual Scott Oswell Memorial Event will be held at Tommy Joe's Restaurant in Bethesda.There will be a silent auction and a raffle of items to raise funds to benefit the Bill Cahir Memorial Fund.

Through the last two years, they’ve raised over $38,500 for The Fisher House Foundation & Children of Fallen Soldiers.

 The background behind the creation of S.O.M.E

On July 4^th, 2007, an OH-58D ‘Kiowa’ Scout helicopter crash in Iraq just south of Mosul killing CW2 Scott Oswell of the 4/6 Air Cav., based at Ft. Lewis, WA. CW2 Oswell was rotating into Iraq for his second tour.  He was a 15-year military veteran, having proudly served 7 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 8 in the U.S. Army.  He was a great warrior, a patriot, a son, a brother and a father of three young children.  This event is to carry on his legacy – of supporting our troops.
